The BK-500/800 automatic canvas stretching machine positions, tensions and nails printed canvas onto wooden stretcher frames in one automated process.
Canvas and wooden frames are fed separately into the positioning station. The vision system and sensors align the canvas with the frame before horizontal stretching and nailing are completed, followed by vertical stretching and nailing. This controlled sequence distributes tension around the frame, helping reduce wrinkles, sagging, skewed images and uneven wrapped edges.
The motion controller, servo motors, robot arm and pneumatic actuators coordinate material handling, positioning and stretching. An automatic nailer maintains repeatable fastening positions throughout the cycle, replacing labor-intensive hand stretching and individual nailing while improving consistency between finished frames.
The BK-500 is designed for compact and medium-sized workpieces, while the BK-800 extends production to larger canvas frames. Both models accommodate different square and rectangular formats as well as wooden stretcher frames within the specified thickness range.
The machines can be used by canvas printing factories, wall-art manufacturers, photo laboratories, art reproduction studios and decorative product producers. Typical finished products include gallery-wrapped canvas prints, oil-painting reproductions, photographic canvases, decorative artwork and commercial wall displays.
The BK-500/800 completes the mounting and fastening stage rather than the printing or wooden-frame manufacturing process. Once stretched and nailed, the finished canvas can proceed to inspection, packaging or installation into an optional external decorative frame.
